Image description

John Weigel inspects what is claimed to be the world's rarest snake known as the Rough-scaled Python which is on public display for the first time at the Australian Reptile Park located 80 kilometres north of Sydney October 10. The snake was discovered around 1987 in the remote Kimberly region in Western Australia. Weigel brought back a pair of juvenile pythons for a breeding and research program.
