Add 15296 (2) f.84r, Undismayed by the ocean's width, Hanuman swells himself to an immense size and, using the still-burning mountain Mahendra as a launch pad, hurls himself into space and across the ocean to the island kingdom of La?k?. The Ocean encourages Mainaka, the undersea mountain that guardSitae entrance to hell, to rise up and assist Hanuman in his flight. The mountain rises above the waves and its personification, crowned on top of his golden, flower-strewn mountain, tells Hanuman to rest, but Hanuman merely touches it with his hand and leaps off again.
